Joe Napoli is Director and Principal Consultant of NLogic Management Services, a business of NLogic Pty Limited. Joe has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of NSW and an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management. Joe is also a qualified trainer and assessor (TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) with ongoing involvement at the College and Corporate level. His 37 year career spans a diverse range of engineering and senior management roles and disciplines within many technical industries including HVAC, Filtration, Hydraulics, Manufacturing, Transport, Construction (Residential, Commercial, Industrial), Mining, Defence, Light to Heavy Industrials, and other affiliated industries. The vast majority of this experience has been in leadership and management roles including operational, sales, service, project management and General Management and Managing Director level.
Joe gained his love of business from an early age, closely involved in his mum and dad's farming business. This allowed him to understand first hand, some of the key principles in successful businesses including the all important work-life balance and sustainable practices. A working farm, like any good business requires good planning, investment in property and stock, machinery and people; risk management; and a tremendous amount of courage, patience and hard work to make it all come together. This early exposure to the working cogs of a business and the dedication required to make it all succeed sowed the seeds for a career in engineering and into management and leadership roles.
Joe's combined passion for leadership, management and engineering started at the deep end with a senior role at Kirby Manufacturing, a large organisation involved in the design and manufacture of refrigeration compressors and systems. This was soon followed with a move into Project Engineering, Service and State Management positions with direct responsibility over people management and development, product development, sales, service, contract management, business growth and P&L performance. This early exposure to leadership and management confirmed it as a key strength and Joe was soon promoted to other senior roles including Industrial Group Manager - responsibility over 3 separate operating divisions which took in the disciplines of manufacturing, sales, installation & project management and service within a broad range of industries including Defence, Transport, Heavy Industry and Mining.
Joe took on a Managing Director's role to set up and grow the Australian & NZ business for the European based, Camfil Group, a multi-national organisation involved in the Commercial and Industrial Building sector. This was followed with a long tenure in National and General Management roles with a large Australian company involved in the manufacture, sales and service of Fluid Hydraulic components and systems. Joe dedicated a further 4 years as the Managing Director of the Australian & NZ subsidiary of Colt International. Colt is a leading UK based, multi-national organisation involved in small to large projects for specialised energy efficient and safety systems used in high rise commercial buildings. This further enhanced Joe's leadership and management skills specifically in the areas of turning around businesses and implementing best practice to disciplines such as sales management, manufacture and installation, commercial contracts, WHS&E and Project Management.
Joe's life learnings, his enduring passion for engineering, leadership and management, combined with his 37 years of diverse industry experience, brings together a wealth of knowledge and experience to form a unique and invaluable set of skills. Joe brings this skill set to NLogic and its customers. Its an advantage which is ingrained in NLogic's DNA and the comprehensive suite of innovative products and services offered to our customers. Joe continues to lead the business, actively maintaining a hands-on role in key leadership and management projects, consultancy and passing on his years of knowledge and experience via his training and assessment involvement.
